Many of the learners at Leeds College of Building are unsuited to traditional text based learning. Nevertheless, they are required to fulfill course expectations and assessments. The learners need help with both reading and writing. Text Help Gold and Dragon Naturally Speaking have been chosen to help.

Leeds College of Building (LCB) aspires to provide the best possible learning environment for all learners and to ensure individuals can maximize their potential. As such, it firmly believes in continuously enhancing the learning experience for those learners with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. With over 650 individuals to support with a wide spectrum of needs, it is essential that the resources sourced through this project are adaptable and multi functional.

It has set out therefore to address the diverse needs of its many dyslexic learners by implementing strategies to assist them in their learning and assessment.
