Case Study: Using Technology to Allow Learners to Create their own Multimedia CV or Portfolio (Doncaster College)

Learner Needs
This project looks at the learner as a whole person rather than just their academic or vocational achievements, through the creation of a multimedia CV.
The students produced a CD/DVD which they designed and created utilising new technological skills in hardware and software.

Technology

The project encouraged learners to create CVs which would incorporate links to video clips of work placements, academic achievements and an introduction to themselves. This would, therefore, demonstrate the use of transferable skills.
The key to the project was the desire for the learners to take as much responsibility for the creation of the CVs as possible, and the choice of equipment was based on ease of use and rigidness.
