Dyslexic students:

• use of computers/laptops to help with their writing speed, both in exams and for coursework
• note-taking equipment (laptops/Dictaphones) during lessons and lectures
• increase processing speed/literacy/numeracy skills
• software to help with their coursework
• to enable writing and reading skills to develop in order to produce essays/assignments

The majority of learners we support are dyslexic, studying level 3 courses. We do not have assistive technology to help these learners with reading and writing skills/speed. We need to encourage independent learning, to enable them to work at home and be confident and competent, when moving onto Higher Education/work.
